After the earlier announcement and a preview of the very first Time-Out Shawl on Ravelry, it receives fairly good positive response with 48 hearts and 7 projects-in-queue before the pattern is released today.
The Time-Out Shawl pattern is now available for download from Ravelry at USD 3.99. It is also available on my "Yarn and Kitty" etsy store at the same price where pattern shall be sent to your email within 24 hours upon payment.
I try to keep instructions simple with very simple stitches such as SC and DC to go along. The texture is created with using "SC" stitches. The shawl is worked from end-to-end. Recommended yarn weight should be at least of DK.
After more than 30 years of following crochet and knit patterns from America, Europe and Asia, this is my very first handwritten pattern, and I am so excited about it.
I welcome comments and questions regarding the pattern. Thanks for the support and browsing around. Stay tune as I'm gonna create other crochet patterns to show everyone.

Time-Out Shawl
Posted the completed Time-Out Shawl on Ravelry. This is based on the one worn by Duchess of Cambridge during her trip to Waitrose for shopping.
There are far more knitted patterns of the shawl than crochet ones. So that prompted me to create a simple & easy-to-follow crochet version with an “obvious” texture.
Now I’m doing a new piece with a different yarn - mixed merino wool and nylon for a softer feel.
